Madrigal Dinner Cast Audition results

Good afternoon MCHS Choir students and parents,

I have attached our Madrigal Dinner Cast and Beggar audition results from our auditions this past week.  We had some great auditions and Mr. Babich and I were very excited about the talent we possess at MCHS and how prepared the students were!
These roles listed are the extra roles needed to do our Masque and script for the dinner, which also includes wandering roles (like the Jailer and Bard,etc.).  We still need to fill our roles for Unicorn and Pages, so let us know if that is of interest to any people who were not cast in a role.
All Varsity and JV Madrigal members will be singing at both dinners and all Varsity Madrigal members will have a named "guest" character and a couple lines.
All choir members not in one of the Madrigal groups (Concert and Treble Choir on Saturday evening Dec. 9th, and Mixed Choir and W. Chorale on Sunday Dec. 10th) will be servers and singing at their respective dinners and are required to be there those days, as well as our Dress Rehearsal after school Fri. Dec. 8th starting at 3:05pm.

FIRST CAST READ THROUGH- MONDAY OCT. 30TH AT 3:10-4:30PM IN THE CHOIR ROOM.

SCRIPTS AND SCHEDULES WILL BE HANDED OUT AT THE READING.

ALL CAST MEMBERS WITH LINES AND VARSITY MADRIGALS ARE TO ATTEND THE READ THROUGH.

OUR FIRST MASQUE REHEARSAL WILL BE-FRIDAY, NOV. 3 FROM 4:15-5:00PM IN THE CHOIR ROOM.

I have also attached the agenda from the Mini Madrigal meeting Tees. night in case any madrigal parent could not attend.

Thanks so much to everyone again and have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

Mr. Benware

CRAFT FAIR VOLUNTEERS
This is a friendly reminder that Craft Fair volunteer forms were sent home with your student a few weeks back and are due back to me (Mr. Benware) by Mon. Oct. 16th. If your student needs another form to bring home for the weekend for you and your student to sign up for available times to work, please have them grab one in choir tomorrow or stop by my room during the day or after school.
Our Craft Fair is a HUGE money maker for our program, and if you and your student can help out for a couple hours on Fri. Nov. 3 in the evening to set-up or help on Sat. Nov. 4th during the Fair, your students choir account will benefit greatly and will help ensure we have another fabulous Craft Fair this year.
If you would like to communicate electronically instead, about when you or your student can work either day, please contact Candice Dunn at:
There are evening shifts (6-9pm) for set-up on Fri. Nov. 3rd, morning shifts Sat. Nov. 4th beginning at 6am (to unload crafters), shifts during 9am-3pm to help during the Craft Fair, and then shifts after 3pm to clean-up.  Best available times are filling up, so get your forms in ASAP!
Worker assignments will be passed out the week before the craft fair.
Thank you for making this commitment to this awesome opportunity we offer our community!

Thanks so much!

Craft Fair Baskets, Madrigal Dinner and Yale Whiffenpoofs

Good morning MCHS Choir families.

CRAFT FAIR BASKETS
There are currently 34 students/families, some who have doubled up on baskets themes/cash, out of the almost 100 students; who have donated so far.  We really need more participation in the effort to getting more basket items, etc. for our amazing Basket Raffle for that part of the Craft Fair to be successful.
Lana Pursell (lanapursell@sbcglobal.net and I (vanessa1972@me.com) can be contacted.
We would like all donations by the concert on Oct. 5. so we can get started on assembling the baskets. People probably don't realize that putting together these baskets takes time, so getting them turned in now is very important so they are ready by the Craft Fair weekend.

Thanks,
Vanessa Holloway
