Follies

The Follies are believed to be the longest running High School Variety Show in the country. The production began more than 100 years ago as a three act show in the 1900's based on Vaudeville traditions. In 1948 it evolved into the current format that was based on the Ziegfeld Follies. The Concert Choir, Varsity Show Choir and Chorale perform popular music with choreography for the Follies, which is annually seen by more than 4,000 people. The show features hundreds of talented students each year in the three choirs, Jazz Band, numerous dance numbers and comedy skits. Of the more than 25,000 students that have performed in the Follies over the years many have gone into music professionally and several alumni have performed on Broadway and in Hollywood productions.
